POKOTABI / Cadenza
カデンツァコンサートサロン
Tucked beneath Bunkyo Ward's Hongo neighborhood, Cadenza preserves the nostalgic charm of a classic meikyoku kissa, hosting close-range piano and chamber performances.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Step down the stairs and through the basement door, and a serene interior steeped in the history of classical music teahouses welcomes you. Located in Bunkyo Ward's Hongo district, Cadenza is an intimate music salon dedicated primarily to chamber music concerts, mini-recitals, and classical showcases.
Echoing its past life as a café, the space features cushioned chairs alongside counter seats and a deep sofa. With room for just over 30 guests, the setting creates a rare closeness to the performance, letting listeners catch every resonance of the grand piano and the artist's quietest breath.
Cadenza no longer operates as a standard café, focusing instead on scheduled concerts and private venue rentals. A short walk from Hongo-sanchome Station brings you underground, where live acoustic music can be appreciated in undisturbed quiet.
